Where's Rob?

Kia ora!! This week was very busy. Man, I've never been more tired in my life. But, I love every bit of it. At the start of the week, we had MLC which was really fun. It was a 2 day thing and we had all the missionaries fly in from the south island to stay with us. We were able to have some good meetings, and an amazing fireside at the mission home. It was a good time and it was awesome to see some missionaries I haven't seen in a while. Then, on Thursday we had zone conference. So, 3 of the 7 days of our week were completely filled with meetings. I hope I don't have to sit in one ever again. But, the spirit was strong at all of them and they were a lot of fun. Anyways, this week we saw heaps of miracles. We have a couple of potential baptisms coming up this transfer or next which is awesome. The members have been giving us some referrals which is super exciting. It's great having a missionary minded ward. We definitely cannot do this work without members. Alright, time...

Kia ora yall!! Hope you are all having a good week! This week was a great week in the New area. This email is going to be quick because I don't have much time. This week I arrived here in Porirua and was able to get things started up in the new area. The new area is awesome and I'm hyped to get things going here. This week we have been super busy with a lot of work which has been good. There is heaps of opportunity here which is exciting. We also saw heaps of miracles this week. It was honestly a really fun week for work. Sadly, none of our friends came to church tho. We'll just have to get them next week. One of the miracles from this week came on Sunday. So, my companion Elder Tuiaki is an incredible musician and singer. He is unbelievably talented with any instrument. So, this week for Maori language week our sacrament was in all Maori, so not a sentence of English was spoken. It was pretty cool, but what was coolest was that they asked my comp to sing a Maori hymn durin...

Kia ora! Kei te pÄ“hea koe? Kei te pai! (Hey, how are you. I'm good). It's been nice being in a branch of all Maori people. They've taught me some new words which is awesome. Anyways, how is everybody? Hope you are all doing good. We've got some news for transfers. Sadly I am leaving Nelson and flying up to Porirua. I loved my time here in Nelson. The ward is awesome, the people here are amazing, and the views are even better. But, Porirua is really pretty as well so it will be all good. My new companion is Elder Tuiaki, I served with him a while ago in Hutt valley. He's the man and I'm excited to serve with him. This transfer should be a good one. The work this week was all good. We were able to get back out working all day everyday which was super nice. There is nothing worse than a sick week on the mission. We were able to see some miracles this week. We put our friend Sonam on date for a couple months out. He is literally the perfect investigator. He already ...

Sick and 1 year

Kia ora yall, hows the week going for everybody? Hope yall had a great week. This week was kinda rough not going to lie. Not much happened this week because me and my companion got super sick for half the week. So, we weren't able to do much. But, we had exchanges with Blenheim for the other days. That was awesome. We saw some great miracles come from it. We saw a cool miracle with a couple of teenage boys walking home from school. Me and Elder Agung were stepping out of our car to go visit somebody. I noticed a kid walking down the street, but I for some reason just didn't feel like talking to him. Which is weird because I usually talk to everybody we see. Not too sure why I didnt. Anyways, he started walking past us and when he walked past me he yelled "**** man your tall as ****". I started laughing and then had a good chat with him. He was super cool and talked to me about how he finds contradictions in the Bible. I was about to start to teaching about the book of...

Quick recap

Kia ora yall, sorry I didn't get an email out to you these last couple of weeks. It's been a crazy couple of weeks and we've been busy. Also I just haven't really had the motivation. Anyways, the last couple of weeks we've just been running exchanges and busy with planning for zone conference. Last week was honestly the most tiring week of my life. We were working all day, and when we got home at 9, we spent the next hour planning for zone conference. It was a stressful week and very tiring. I'm definitely glad that this next week is going to be a little less busy and hopefully we can get some relaxation at night. We'll see. I'm just glad zone conference is over and we can chill a little. Anyways, just wanted to share a cool funny story. Last week my new hair clippers came in the mail, so me and my companion got the idea to go give free hair cuts in the community to try and find some people to teach. So, we did just that. I know it sounds like a weird fi...

Malo lelei! How is everybody? Hope you are all doing good. I'm doing great out here. Loving life, absolutely can't complain. Anyways I'll keep it short. This week was transfers so it was pretty busy and really hectic. All of Tuesday and Wednesday we were busy trying to get the missionaries to their areas in the zone. It's tough in this zone because everybody is like a 2+ hour drive away from Nelson. But, we got it all figured out. I was able to pick up my new comp Elder Tucker. He's a stud. We served together in Kansas as well so it's pretty nice getting to talk about the KWM with someone. We get along well and he's keen to work so I'm excited for the transfer. Here's an update on the work. The work is going great. We are trying to pick things up. We found a good amount of new people to teach which is always great. Hopefully they will progress. We had some beautiful blessings while knocking this week. We were knocking a street and we walk into the ba...

Kia ora yall! Hope you're all doing good. I'm doing pretty good. Time is flying and I'm having fun so I can't complain. Busy week so I'll keep this one short. So, this week was very busy. We had exchanges from Thursday to Friday in Greymouth, which was really good. Then when we got back I had to drop off Elder Tidwell off at the airport the next day because he's going home. So, I spent the weekend over in Motueka with the elders there which was super fun. But, I'm definitely going to miss Elder Tidwell. That guy was a stud and we had heaps of fun this transfer. This Sunday I got to go to church in Motueka which was really cool and very humbling. The Motueka branch meets in a tiny office building. They have 15 members in the branch and 5 of them are missionaries, so it definitely made me grateful to have a branch of at least 80 and an actual chapel. Sorry I got busy while writing this earlier and now I don't have time to finish it. Anyways I love you all ...
