Transfers
Kia ora! Kei te pēhea koe? Kei te pai! (Hey, how are you. I'm good). It's been nice being in a branch of all Maori people. They've taught me some new words which is awesome. Anyways, how is everybody? Hope you are all doing good.
We've got some news for transfers. Sadly I am leaving Nelson and flying up to Porirua. I loved my time here in Nelson. The ward is awesome, the people here are amazing, and the views are even better. But, Porirua is really pretty as well so it will be all good. My new companion is Elder Tuiaki, I served with him a while ago in Hutt valley. He's the man and I'm excited to serve with him. This transfer should be a good one.
The work this week was all good. We were able to get back out working all day everyday which was super nice. There is nothing worse than a sick week on the mission. We were able to see some miracles this week. We put our friend Sonam on date for a couple months out. He is literally the perfect investigator. He already shares everything he learns with his parents. So hopefully his parents will join the lessons soon. We also saw heaps of miracles in the zone. The zone has a couple of baptisms coming up in these next 2 weeks. Overall, it's been a miracle just being able to do the work this week! I'm reminded all the time just how important this work is and how much of a blessing it is to be able to be a part of it.
Here's a little spiritual insight from the week:
Alma 32:41
41 But if ye will nourish the word, yea, nourish the tree as it beginneth to grow, by your faith with great diligence, and with patience, looking forward to the fruit thereof, it shall take root; and behold it shall be a tree springing up unto everlasting life.
This scripture really stood out to me this week. It is talking about how we must plant a seed in our hearts, and nourish that seed so it can grow into a tree. The seed can be compared to the word(aka the scriptures). In this scripture, it teaches us that we can see the seed grow into a tree if we have faith, and patience. But another important thing is "looking forward to the fruit thereof". In other words, We must look towards eternal blessings to receive them. The scripture promises us, that if we have faith, patience, and look toward the fruit thereof, our little plant or seed will turn into a tree springing up unto everlasting life. We will see eternal blessings come in our lives if we apply these 3 simple principles. So, ladies and gentlemen, I invite you all to think of ways that you can apply more faith in your life.
Alright, I love you all and hope you have a great week. Next week I'll be emailing from good ole P town. So have a good one. Ka kite.
