Our area is finally starting to progress

Kia ora whanau!! I hope that you all had a great week. This week was a pretty solid week of work. We saw some miracles and some progression with our friends. Sorry for not writing last week yall.

We finished our zone conference trip on the south island last week. It was a good trip and had some good conferences. It is also a ton of fun whenever we get to go to the south island. I get to catch up with some missionaries that I've served with and the south island is beautiful. So, it's always a good time.

This week we were able to completely focus on our own area which was awesome. We found a couple of new people to teach which is perfect. Right now we are trying to build up a teaching pool so we've just been trying to find new people. We spent a lot of time just parking and walking around Porirua, which helped us find a couple of new people which was awesome. One of our friends that we found about a month ago has just started to progress. His name is Keean Kotuhi. He is a maori guy around 20 years old. We invited him to read the Book of Mormon a couple of weeks ago and he said he would. Then, this week we caught up with him and he said that he had read a little bit. Also, on top of that, we called him on Saturday night to remind him about church and he said that he had downloaded the Book of Mormon app and started watching some of the videos. The crazy thing is that I don't ever remember telling him about the Book of Mormon app which is super cool. It was cool to see him keeping some commitments. Now, we just need to help him get to church. I know that doesn't sound like that big of a miracle. But, for me and my comp that is huge. We never get much time in our area and it is also a brand new area, so it is rare to see progressing friends for us. Please pray for Keean yall!!

Yesterday I was listening to a talk that was talking about God's love. One thing that really stood out to me was what ways we can feel God's love. The talk helped me realize that God's love can be felt often and we don't recognize it. He talked about how God created the earth and all that is in it (people, sunsets, oceans, rivers, mountains). So, whether you are finding happiness from a cool sunset or a nice view of the mountains, you are feeling of God's love. I love that it made that point. I have felt joy and happiness doing so many things, yet I have never realized or credited it to God's love. So, I would invite you all to remember whenever you are happy, or whenever something brings you joy, that you are feeling of God's love. Anyways, that is it from me.

I love you all, and I hope you all have a great week. Happy Matariki holiday as well!
