Kia ora yall!! Hows it going? I hope all is good. I'm doing pretty good. This email might be a bit short because it’s been a busy p-day since it’s Elder Tidwell’s last one before he heads home this weekend. Here's an update on the work. We are still working with the same people except one of our main friends dropped us last week after he got into some anti. All of our friends right now aren't really progressing. I won't go into details on them, but please pray for them and us to know how to help them. We are trying to find new people to teach right now but all the people cancel on their return appointments, so it's a bit frustrating right now. We'll get it figured out tho. We had exchanges with Blenheim this week which was all good. They are cool and it was a good couple days of exchanges. Nothing crazy really happened this week,  but we did get to make our own Pakohe necklaces with one of our members. A Pakohe necklace is a popular necklace in the Maori culture...

ZC with the new President

Manuia le aso(good morning in samoan)! Hope you guys are doing good. This week was all good. It was unbelievably busy though. Which is always good so I'm not complaining. We got caught with a lot of random things. We had to go get my license converted to a NZ license. So I'll be getting one of those this next week. We also had flat inspections which took way longer than it should have. Then, we had exchanges with the Westport elders which was awesome but a lot of driving. Then, to top off the week we had zone conference with the new Mission President which was awesome. We finally got to meet President and Sister Clark, and they are so cool. Honestly they are probably my favorite out of my mission presidents so far. They are super cool and driven which is good. I know they are going to do a lot of good for this mission, and I'm so glad I get to be here for it.  Anyways, the work is going alright. As I said earlier we didn't get much time to work in our own area. But the ...

Vacation

Kia ora yall! I hope you guys are doing awesome. I hope this week was fantastic. Mine was alright. Nothing too special. But it's always a good week here in Aotearoa. Anyways, the work this week was a bit slow. It seemed like we visited every dot in area book and they were either gone or just weren't interested. But, we'll keep going. We also didn't get to work in our area much because we were on vacation in Greymouth. Nah I'm just kidding. We went on exchanges there but it basically felt like a vacation. It was a 4 hour drive down, and then we were there from Monday til Wednesday. It took us 7 hours to get back though because we missed a turn. We were driving and showed up in another town on the west coast called Westport and that's when we realized we had been going the wrong way for an hour. So, we turned around and finally got home after 7 hours. But, I'm not complaining because I like going for a drive and this was possibly the most beautiful drive ever....

Kia orana everybody. Hope your doing good. This one's going to be short because I'm super busy. Anyways, a little update on the work. It is going good out here. We've found a few good friends and we're excited to teach them. We found the most golden investigator through Facebook. Kinda crazy because that was the first time I've found somebody through Facebook. I'll tell yall more about him next week. So, the work and area is awesome and I'm loving it. We got a new president on Saturday and I got to meet him over a call on Sunday. He seems super cool and I'm excited to meet him in person. It was definitely sad seeing the old president go home though. That's alright, the work goes on. Alright, to explain the title of the email. This week me and my comp were out visiting some people. We were in kind of a sketchier part of town. So, we're pulling up to this house and I see these 2 girls and a guy standing on the corner of a street talking. We pass th...

Nelson

Image
Kia ora everybody. Its been a good week, I hope you're all doing good. Let me know if there's anything I can do for you guys. Well, this area is super cool. We are covering a branch even though it's bigger than most wards. 150 people come to church every week which is like double what wards get. The only reason they aren't a ward is because there isn't a stake in the area. So, we get a giant branch. Not complaining. The area is beautiful. It's super green and hilly and tropical, we are right next to the beach. Also, not to forget, we are probably in one of the nicest missionary flat/apartment/houses ever. Kid you not it is ridiculous how nice and big this place is. I've only been used to old and trashy flats, but for some reason I've been blessed this transfer. So, this zone is a bit interesting. It is a very large zone and all the missionaries are very spread out. We have a set of missionaries in Greymouth which is 4 hours away from us. Then, we have an...

Transfers

Image
Kia ora yall!! Hope you're having a lovely week. I'm doing awesome. Having a good time out here and loving life. This has been a good and very long transfer. The 8 weeks is finally up. Alrighty, so we got transfer news the other day and I am moving again. I know, I'm kinda sad about it too. This is already my 6th area in my mission. So, I am definitely tired of packing up and leaving almost every transfer. I've been living out of my suit case for way too long. Anyways, a little news about the transfer. I'm getting transferred to Nelson, which is on the south island on the very north part of the island. From what I've heard it is beautiful. I'm going to be zone leader and I get to be companions with Elder Tidwell, which is Elder Landon Nash's cousin. Kinda crazy. I'm excited, he seems like a stud! I get to fly for transfers since it's on the south island. Not many people get to say they fly for transfers so it's pretty cool.  A quick update on...

What are you boys doing in my hood?

Kia ora yall!! Hope you're doing good. Hope everything is just dandy and sweet. Anyways, I'm doing pretty good right now. Just chilling and loving life. It is week 7 of the 8 week transfer so we'll see what happens next week. Anything could happen. With how much I've moved around in my mission I definitely would not be surprised if they just booted me out. But, we'll see. Here's a quick run down on the work right now. So, this week we had ALL of our lessons get cancelled or rescheduled. That was pretty frustrating. So, me and my soa just did heaps of knocking. We knocked all day everyday hoping to find some more people to teach. We had a pretty good week and we were able to find some more people to teach. All of our friends (besides Niko) are not progressing. So, we just decided to try and go find some more people to teach. Anyways, we will keep working on our friends, hopefully we see some progression soon. Alright some cool things from the week. I'm sure s...
