Kia orana everybody. Hope your doing good. This one's going to be short because I'm super busy.
Anyways, a little update on the work. It is going good out here. We've found a few good friends and we're excited to teach them. We found the most golden investigator through Facebook. Kinda crazy because that was the first time I've found somebody through Facebook. I'll tell yall more about him next week. So, the work and area is awesome and I'm loving it.
We got a new president on Saturday and I got to meet him over a call on Sunday. He seems super cool and I'm excited to meet him in person. It was definitely sad seeing the old president go home though. That's alright, the work goes on.
Alright, to explain the title of the email. This week me and my comp were out visiting some people. We were in kind of a sketchier part of town. So, we're pulling up to this house and I see these 2 girls and a guy standing on the corner of a street talking. We pass them, but we realize that the person we were visiting was back by them. So, we flip around and pull up in front of them. As we pass them they start running behind our car. I'm confused. But then, I look back and I see this Maori girl beating the crap out of this dude. I kid you not this woman was throwing some of the meanest punches I've ever seen. This grown man is just getting rocked by a young woman. We pull up to check on them and to diffuse the fight because we saw her hit him with a knee to the face. When we pull up I roll down my window to talk and ask whats going on. One of the girls said he was a creep. He then turns around and I see his face. He had blood all over his hands and face. And his face was super swollen. He says "help me" to us. We didn't know what to do. We're not really sure what to do as missionaries in that situation. Then, the girl continues to beat up the dude right in front of us. She then asks "hey are you guys the elders?". We say "ya". She then says "Oh I'm an Elkington". So, in our branch, there are 2 big families, the hippolites and the elkingtons. Which means that this girl is a member at our branch. We literally just witnessed a member of our ward beat the crap out of this grown man. After like 15 minutes they finally went their own ways. Me and my comp were so shocked at this point. We just sat in the car for a while.
Alright, that's it from me. I love you all and hope your doing great.
