Kia ora katou e te whanau!! It feels super weird to say this, but this will be my last email as a missionary. I fly out on Thursday and have 24 hours of travel ahead of me. I will get to Utah on Thursday at about 4 PM though because I will be flying a day into the past. For the last email I would like to share with you all a very special experience that happened recently. I would like to tell you all a story about a girl named Lili F. About 5 years ago, Lili got a knock on the door from a missionary senior couple from our church. They had a chat and the senior couple invited Lili to be baptized and to join the church. She politely declined because she didn't feel that she was ready at the time. For about the next 5 years, she continued to think about this experience up until recently. On the night of June 25th, 2024, she prayed and asked God about which church she should join. The very next day, she got a knock on the door and opened up and saw my goofy face and my companion. Us kn...

South Island trip

Kia ora everybody!!! I hope you all had a great week!! These last 2 weeks were super busy but very good. We finished up our zone conferences this week. We traveled the north island and south island this whole week and the week before for zone conferences. It was great and super spiritual, but I am definitely tired of traveling haha. That was my last trip I'll do so I'm definitely grateful to be done with them. A quick update with our friend Lili. She's doing great, she's come to church every week the last 3 weeks. There is only one hold up. We had to postpone her baptism for some word of wisdom stuff. But, it isn't anything too major so she'll probably get baptized in 2 or 3 weeks. She has been a miracle in my mission. I'm a little sad that i won't be here for her baptism cuz i go home next week, but I'm grateful I got to be a part of the process. We learned this week that she met a missionary senior couple 5 years ago and they invited her to be bapt...

Miracles!!

Malo e lelei everybody!! This week was a pretty solid week. We kept super busy and had some success in our area. This week was transfers so we spent Monday to Thursday having meetings and planning for this next transfer. It is always a pretty stressful time, but we've made it and I won't have to do that again so I'm happy. We had a great MLC meeting on Wednesday. The spirit was super strong the whole time. It was definitely my favorite one that I have had. We had a lot of success with one of our friends that we found last week. Her name is Lili, I think I mentioned her last week. Anyways, this week we caught up with her and had a lesson. We set a date for baptism with her on the 27th of this month. She also came to church the next day and loved every minute of it. We have multiple members that are fellowshipping her. They have invited her to institute and other activities. It has been awesome to see. She is progressing so fast that I can't even keep up. Never in my miss...

Last month, last transfer

Kia ora whanau!! I hope you have all had a great week. This week was pretty solid. We had some miracles which was awesome. We were able to focus on our area a lot this week. We found some new people to teach and had some great lessons. I would like to share a miracle that happened this week. Last Wednesday in daily planning I felt inspired to continue knocking a street that we had knocked the week before. So, we planned for that. But, our schedule ended up getting pushed back because we got busy, and we had to decide whether we wanted to knock that street or do the things that got pushed back. I felt again that we should go and knock that street. So, we did. The very first door we knocked on was a girl named Lili. God had definitely been preparing her for us. She told us that she had just recently started to look for another church to attend. She also said that she was looking for people that could teach her about their church. We said "well here we are". We gave her a Book o...

Kia ora whanau!! I hope that you all had a great week. This week was a pretty solid week of work. We saw some miracles and some progression with our friends. Sorry for not writing last week yall. We finished our zone conference trip on the south island last week. It was a good trip and had some good conferences. It is also a ton of fun whenever we get to go to the south island. I get to catch up with some missionaries that I've served with and the south island is beautiful. So, it's always a good time. This week we were able to completely focus on our own area which was awesome. We found a couple of new people to teach which is perfect. Right now we are trying to build up a teaching pool so we've just been trying to find new people. We spent a lot of time just parking and walking around Porirua, which helped us find a couple of new people which was awesome. One of our friends that we found about a month ago has just started to progress. His name is Keean Kotuhi. He is a mao...

Zone conferences

Ata marie whanau! I hope that you have all had a good week, I love and miss you all! These last 2 week were pretty good to be honest. We kept really busy so that was good. Last week and this week we have had zone conferences in the north island and in the south island. We had Palmerston North zone, Flaxmere zone, and Hastings zone conference to start the week. Then, we had a day for exchanges with the Flaxmere elders. The next day we had to drive back to Wellington from Hawkes Bay which is 4 hour drive with no stops. So we drove back and then we had a flight that evening, so we had to get packed up and ready to get on the plane. Basically we spent the whole day traveling. These last couple of days we have spent in Dunedin and Christchurch on the south island, it has been really fun. I always enjoy coming down here because I get to see areas that I never served in and I get to see some cool parts of New Zealand. Overall, it has been a really good week and time has been flying.  The ...
