Quick recap

Kia ora yall, sorry I didn't get an email out to you these last couple of weeks. It's been a crazy couple of weeks and we've been busy. Also I just haven't really had the motivation. Anyways, the last couple of weeks we've just been running exchanges and busy with planning for zone conference. Last week was honestly the most tiring week of my life. We were working all day, and when we got home at 9, we spent the next hour planning for zone conference. It was a stressful week and very tiring. I'm definitely glad that this next week is going to be a little less busy and hopefully we can get some relaxation at night. We'll see. I'm just glad zone conference is over and we can chill a little. Anyways, just wanted to share a cool funny story. Last week my new hair clippers came in the mail, so me and my companion got the idea to go give free hair cuts in the community to try and find some people to teach. So, we did just that. I know it sounds like a weird fi...

Malo lelei! How is everybody? Hope you are all doing good. I'm doing great out here. Loving life, absolutely can't complain. Anyways I'll keep it short. This week was transfers so it was pretty busy and really hectic. All of Tuesday and Wednesday we were busy trying to get the missionaries to their areas in the zone. It's tough in this zone because everybody is like a 2+ hour drive away from Nelson. But, we got it all figured out. I was able to pick up my new comp Elder Tucker. He's a stud. We served together in Kansas as well so it's pretty nice getting to talk about the KWM with someone. We get along well and he's keen to work so I'm excited for the transfer. Here's an update on the work. The work is going great. We are trying to pick things up. We found a good amount of new people to teach which is always great. Hopefully they will progress. We had some beautiful blessings while knocking this week. We were knocking a street and we walk into the ba...

Transfers

Kia ora yall! Hope you're all doing good. I'm doing pretty good. Time is flying and I'm having fun so I can't complain. Busy week so I'll keep this one short. So, this week was very busy. We had exchanges from Thursday to Friday in Greymouth, which was really good. Then when we got back I had to drop off Elder Tidwell off at the airport the next day because he's going home. So, I spent the weekend over in Motueka with the elders there which was super fun. But, I'm definitely going to miss Elder Tidwell. That guy was a stud and we had heaps of fun this transfer. This Sunday I got to go to church in Motueka which was really cool and very humbling. The Motueka branch meets in a tiny office building. They have 15 members in the branch and 5 of them are missionaries, so it definitely made me grateful to have a branch of at least 80 and an actual chapel. Sorry I got busy while writing this earlier and now I don't have time to finish it. Anyways I love you all ...

Kia ora yall!! Hows it going? I hope all is good. I'm doing pretty good. This email might be a bit short because it’s been a busy p-day since it’s Elder Tidwell’s last one before he heads home this weekend. Here's an update on the work. We are still working with the same people except one of our main friends dropped us last week after he got into some anti. All of our friends right now aren't really progressing. I won't go into details on them, but please pray for them and us to know how to help them. We are trying to find new people to teach right now but all the people cancel on their return appointments, so it's a bit frustrating right now. We'll get it figured out tho. We had exchanges with Blenheim this week which was all good. They are cool and it was a good couple days of exchanges. Nothing crazy really happened this week,  but we did get to make our own Pakohe necklaces with one of our members. A Pakohe necklace is a popular necklace in the Maori culture...

ZC with the new President

Manuia le aso(good morning in samoan)! Hope you guys are doing good. This week was all good. It was unbelievably busy though. Which is always good so I'm not complaining. We got caught with a lot of random things. We had to go get my license converted to a NZ license. So I'll be getting one of those this next week. We also had flat inspections which took way longer than it should have. Then, we had exchanges with the Westport elders which was awesome but a lot of driving. Then, to top off the week we had zone conference with the new Mission President which was awesome. We finally got to meet President and Sister Clark, and they are so cool. Honestly they are probably my favorite out of my mission presidents so far. They are super cool and driven which is good. I know they are going to do a lot of good for this mission, and I'm so glad I get to be here for it.  Anyways, the work is going alright. As I said earlier we didn't get much time to work in our own area. But the ...

Vacation

Kia ora yall! I hope you guys are doing awesome. I hope this week was fantastic. Mine was alright. Nothing too special. But it's always a good week here in Aotearoa. Anyways, the work this week was a bit slow. It seemed like we visited every dot in area book and they were either gone or just weren't interested. But, we'll keep going. We also didn't get to work in our area much because we were on vacation in Greymouth. Nah I'm just kidding. We went on exchanges there but it basically felt like a vacation. It was a 4 hour drive down, and then we were there from Monday til Wednesday. It took us 7 hours to get back though because we missed a turn. We were driving and showed up in another town on the west coast called Westport and that's when we realized we had been going the wrong way for an hour. So, we turned around and finally got home after 7 hours. But, I'm not complaining because I like going for a drive and this was possibly the most beautiful drive ever....

Kia orana everybody. Hope your doing good. This one's going to be short because I'm super busy. Anyways, a little update on the work. It is going good out here. We've found a few good friends and we're excited to teach them. We found the most golden investigator through Facebook. Kinda crazy because that was the first time I've found somebody through Facebook. I'll tell yall more about him next week. So, the work and area is awesome and I'm loving it. We got a new president on Saturday and I got to meet him over a call on Sunday. He seems super cool and I'm excited to meet him in person. It was definitely sad seeing the old president go home though. That's alright, the work goes on. Alright, to explain the title of the email. This week me and my comp were out visiting some people. We were in kind of a sketchier part of town. So, we're pulling up to this house and I see these 2 girls and a guy standing on the corner of a street talking. We pass th...
