The Lord's Timing

Image
Malo e lelei everybody!! The work continues out here and life is good. My week was pretty busy but it was really good. I had one of the coolest experiences happen to me this week. Me and my companion drove up to palmerston north this weekend for some exchanges and for stake conference. This was a zone that I had served in about a year ago, so I was able to see a lot of old friends and members at stake conference which was awesome. One of the coolest things was that my friend Jhon that I baptized about a year ago was there as well. Then I found out that he was receiving the melchezidek priesthood that same day. After stake conference I was able to go and help confer the priesthood to him. It was such a special experience. A year ago, he was baptized, and now I just happened to be in palmy when he was receiving the melchezidek priesthood. This helped me realize that the Lord's timing is perfect. I know that he is going to be able to bless his family now with the priesthood, and he wi...

South Island

Kia ora whanau!! Hope you have all had a great week. This week was pretty busy. We had zone conferences in the south island which meant a lot of traveling. We traveled on Sunday night to Dunedin. We stayed there for 2 days and had zone conference and exchanges. Then, next we went to Christchurch and stayed there for 2 days and had zone conference and exchanges. Then, we traveled to Nelson and stayed there for 2 days and had zone conference and exchanges. So basically we repeated the same thing all week. It got pretty tiring and monotonous, but we made it through so that's good. I enjoyed it though. It was good to see Christchurch and Dunedin because I have never served there before, so that was a blessing. Other than that, not much else happened this week. Spiritual thought for the week: I was reading in the saints book the other day and I read about the story of Oliver Cowdery. He has such an awesome conversion story. He had heard about Joseph Smith and the golden plates, and beca...

Temple trip and zone conferences

Image
Malo e lelei!! I hope you guys have all had an awesome week. This week was really good. It was super busy and flew by for me which is always good. We started off the week with a road trip up to the temple. Our mission is trying to get all the missionaries in the mission up to the temple. So, we took a small group of missionaries up there. It was about a 7 hour drive from Wellington to Hamilton. So, it was a long one. But, it was pretty fun. I haven't been on a road trip like that since home. Anyways, the trip was awesome. This was the 2nd time I've been on my mission which is a huge blessing. But, each time I go it is so special. I want to talk about an experience from the endowment session that i had. We were just finishing up the endowment video, and they began to turn on the lights and open the curtains to the veil. Right when they opened the curtains and turned on the lights I felt a very weird feeling. I felt that my grandpa who had died about 6 years ago was there with me...

Super busy

Kia ora everybody!! Sorry for no email, I haven't had the time or motivation to write one. I've been good though, just been really busy which is awesome on the mission. We had transfers last week and I got transferred next door🤣. President called me 2 Thursdays ago and told me he needed me to be one of his assistants. I started laughing when he said it, but of course i accepted the offer. So, this last week has been a little different. We have gone to bed at about midnight every night and woken up at 4 or 5 every day. It's been super tiring, but it's been good for me. I’m sure it will teach me a lot. I'll just give a list of what we did last week: -picked up the intake and spent the whole day with them. -then had to pick up and drive missionaries for transfers -spent the day with the outtake missionaries and had a goodbye devotional. Then dropped them off at the airport the next day -had mlc on Friday. -had exchanges with the Christchurch elders Currently I am typi...
