Temple trip and zone conferences

Malo e lelei!! I hope you guys have all had an awesome week. This week was really good. It was super busy and flew by for me which is always good.


We started off the week with a road trip up to the temple. Our mission is trying to get all the missionaries in the mission up to the temple. So, we took a small group of missionaries up there. It was about a 7 hour drive from Wellington to Hamilton. So, it was a long one. But, it was pretty fun. I haven't been on a road trip like that since home. Anyways, the trip was awesome. This was the 2nd time I've been on my mission which is a huge blessing. But, each time I go it is so special. I want to talk about an experience from the endowment session that i had. We were just finishing up the endowment video, and they began to turn on the lights and open the curtains to the veil. Right when they opened the curtains and turned on the lights I felt a very weird feeling. I felt that my grandpa who had died about 6 years ago was there with me. I was overwhelmed by the spirit and it was almost like I could see him as well. For a moment, one of the ordinance workers looked exactly like him, I said to myself "Is that Lee?". After a little bit, he began to look different again. I was so caught off guard. I've never really had an experience like this. But, i know that it was a true experience. I know that the temple is the closest place to heaven here on earth. I know that the veil is very thin there. And I know that my grandpa was there with me that day to support me and encourage from the other side of the veil. After that experience, I went into the Celestial room and began to ponder. Then, i felt impressed to read a very specific chapter in D and C. It was D and C 138, which talks about Jesus teaching the spirits in the spirit world for the 3 days before he was resurrected, and also that when we die, we get to go teach the gospel to those that haven't received it. When I was reading that, I knew and felt that my grandfather was there with me that day to let me know that he was serving a mission on the other side of the veil. He was teaching the gospel to others, which he never had the opportunity to do so in this life. It was comforting to know that my grandpa was involved in the same work as I was on the other side of the veil. I felt that he was comforting me and encouraging me in this work. I would invite all of you that are reading this to go to the temple. If you don't have a temple recommend, then prepare yourself to receive one. If you aren't currently going to church, then begin to go again. If you aren't a member, then reach out to me or the missionaries in your area. After this temple trip, I felt that everybody in this world should have the opportunity to attend the temple. The feelings and blessings that we receive from the temple are too special to miss out on. There is no other place in the world where you can feel the love of our Heavenly Father more. Again, I would say to you all, prepare yourselves for the blessings of the Temple.

For the rest of the week we had zone conferences and a lot of traveling. We had to drive up to Hawkes bay which is a little over 4 hours, and then to Palmerston North. Safe to say that we were busy and tired. It was a good week tho. We were able to get a lot done.

Just want to let you all know that I am doing amazing. I'm honestly so happy. I haven't ever felt this much peace and happiness in my life. And I know that it is because of missionary work. I hope you all have an awesome week. Make sure to read your scriptures and pray.

Malo e lelei everybody! I hope that you have all had a wonderful week. I hope that each of you wished your mothers a happy mothers day. If you haven't, make sure to go do that now. I would also like to apologize for being terrible at writing emails every week, especially to my mother. It's been a busy few weeks, but they have been awesome. We got to go to the temple again last week. So that meant packing up and driving a van 7 hours up to Hamilton with a bunch of other missionaries. It was super fun, I love a good road trip. I'm so blessed to have gone on a couple temple trips while I've been serving here. It is not to easy to get up there, and it definitely isn't cheap. Each time I go I am reminded of God's Plan of Salvation. One of the things that really stood out to me this time is that when we sacrifice things in our life, it is a similitude to the Savior's sacrifice. Miracles!!

Malo e lelei everybody!! This week was a pretty solid week. We kept super busy and had some success in our area. This week was transfers so we spent Monday to Thursday having meetings and planning for this next transfer. It is always a pretty stressful time, but we've made it and I won't have to do that again so I'm happy. We had a great MLC meeting on Wednesday. The spirit was super strong the whole time. It was definitely my favorite one that I have had. We had a lot of success with one of our friends that we found last week. Her name is Lili, I think I mentioned her last week. Anyways, this week we caught up with her and had a lesson. We set a date for baptism with her on the 27th of this month. She also came to church the next day and loved every minute of it. We have multiple members that are fellowshipping her. They have invited her to institute and other activities. It has been awesome to see. She is progressing so fast that I can't even keep up. Last month, last transfer

Kia ora whanau!! I hope you have all had a great week. This week was pretty solid. We had some miracles which was awesome. We were able to focus on our area a lot this week. We found some new people to teach and had some great lessons. I would like to share a miracle that happened this week. Last Wednesday in daily planning I felt inspired to continue knocking a street that we had knocked the week before. So, we planned for that. But, our schedule ended up getting pushed back because we got busy, and we had to decide whether we wanted to knock that street or do the things that got pushed back. I felt again that we should go and knock that street. So, we did. The very first door we knocked on was a girl named Lili. God had definitely been preparing her for us. She told us that she had just recently started to look for another church to attend. She also said that she was looking for people that could teach her about their church. We said "well here we are".
