Scabies and hospital trips

Kia ora everybody!! I hope you have all had a fantastic couple of weeks. To be completely honest mine haven't been. But that's alright.

Anyways, not much to report on for these last 2 weeks, unfortunately. So, me and my companion and the other elders in our flat were put in quarantine all of last week, along with other companionships in the zone. I was exposed to a bug called Scabies, you may have heard the name. I actually was infested by the bug. I had bites all over my back and arms. It really isn't that harmful of a bug, just feels like mosquito bites. But, it's pretty serious because it can spread really easily. So, we had to coop ourselves up in our flat for a whole week. We had to deep clean everything to help get rid of it. Other than that, we did nothing but sit around the flat and play card games. Safe to say we were all a little depressed, but we made it out.

We got out of quarantine this last Monday and I was excited to just get out of the house and do some actual work (not social media work). We had a great day on Tuesday, with a couple of lessons. I was loving life. Then, that night at about 10 PM, my companion was in bed and started to get really bad stomach pains. He couldn't move and was really cold for some reason. We gave him a blessing, then we called the mission nurse. They told us that he most likely had appendicitis and that we would need to take him to the hospital asap. So, me, my comp, and 2 other elders hopped in the car and zoomed to the hospital. Then, the rest of the night we spent at the hospital. I slept on the floor of the hospital that night, got maybe 30 minutes of sleep. Then, president called in the morning and said that I would have to go to zone conference that day without my companion to give a training. So, I went the whole day of zone conference off of 30 minutes of sleep and no companion. It was a pretty miserable day honestly. My companion had to get surgery to remove his appendix. So, the rest of the week was spent with my companion recovering, which meant that I was stuck in the flat again. 2 weeks back to back stuck in the flat.

So, not much has happened, but it's all good cuz I know there is good stuff coming in the future. Anyways, that's it from me. Have a good week yall.
