Sick🤮

Malo e lelei!! How is everybody doing? I hope you are all doing great. I'm doing alright right now. Honestly this week was pretty rough.

So, Tuesday morning I wake up and my stomach is acting up. Little did I know that the rest of the day I would spend the rest of the day with intestinal distress. I kept throwing up until my stomach was empty and nothing was left. Sorry for the description yall but I thought I'd throw it out there. And then on Wednesday, I had a massive headache and some bad nausea. So for all of Tuesday and Wednesday we were cooped up doing absolutely nothing. It was pretty miserable honestly. I mostly felt bad for my companion because he just had to sit there all day. The only good thing that came of it was I lost heaps of weight. At the beginning of this transfer I was working on losing some extra weight I put on when I was in Nelson, and after this week I was down12 pounds, so that was good. Shoutout to the sickness.

Anyways, the rest of the week not much happened really. We went out and worked but nothing exciting really happened. No miracles, nothing.

But, I did get to finish the book of Mormon again this week. That was awesome. I love this book and love that I get to share about it everyday. Here was something from my BOM study this week:

So, this week I was studying in Moroni 9, which is the 2nd to last chapter of the whole book. It basically is a letter from Mormon (Moronis dad) to Moroni. And in this letter, Mormon talks about how evil the people are at the time, and about all the crazy wars that are happening. They also talk about some of the very horrible things that the people are doing to each other at the time. Which, if you haven't picked up, is very similar to today. Currently we have a war going on in Israel. I don't know too much about it, but from what I've heard it sounds pretty horrific. But, back to the scripture. Mormon tells how we should deal with the wars and terrible things that happen in life.
 Moroni 9:25:
25 My son, be faithful in Christ; and may not the things which I have written grieve thee, to weigh thee down unto death; but may Christ lift thee up, and may his sufferings and death, and the showing his body unto our fathers, and his mercy and long-suffering, and the hope of his glory and of eternal life, rest in your mind forever.

I love that he says "rest in your mind forever". There is so much hope in Jesus Christ and so much peace that comes from him. So, my invitation to you all is to let Jesus Christ "rest in your mind forever". I know that by doing so, you will find peace in this crazy world. The terrible wars that are happening won't be able to weigh you down. I can guarantee this to all of you.

Anyways, I love you all and hope you all have a great week.
