General conference

Kia ora!! How is everybody doing? I hope things are starting to warm up back home. It's kinda sad seeing you all headed toward summer and we are just heading to winter. It's whatever. Anyways, this week was good, it was a pretty busy week.


Alright, well we spent most of the week moving out all the things from our other flat into our new flat. That sucked. But it's mostly done for now. Shoutout to Elder and Sister Grant. They are the senior couple in our zone and they helped a ton with everything. Best senior couple out there!

The work this week was good and we had some good success with finding and all that jazz. But, we got some kinda sad news. Our friend Gila, who we had on Baptismal date, is now moving to Auckland. His dad visited and convinced him to move to Auckland within the next week so that sucks. But that's alright, he still wants to be baptized but we will just have to pass him to some missionaries there. Also, our friend Jhon that we have on date is really excited to be baptized and can't wait. But, we found out this week that him and the lady he lives with (who is one of our members), are not married. But, they are willing to get married and have wanted to for a while, but because they don't speak English very well they don't really know how. So, we are going to get then married!! It's been fun teaching him because I get to revisit my Spanish and it brings back good ol' memories of Spanish class. They made us some horchata the other day which was so refreshing because they don't have any type of Mexican food here in NZ. Got to love Colombia. Other than that tho the work was good this week.

Alright, I know it's 2 weeks late, but we finally got to watch conference. I did my best to not listen to any of it before we watched it as a ward and I succeeded. Man lemme just say how fire all of it was. Conference is literally like March madness but on the mission. I'm going to call it spiritual march madness from now on. I think that's a perfect name. Anyways, I loved a lot of the talks especially the one that Randall K. Bennett gave about patriarchal blessings. Also, of course the prophets talk was a banger. I missed my Boi Jeffrey R. Holland tho. I hope he gets better.

Spiritual thought for the week: I wanted to talk about a spiritual experience I had this weekend. It wasn't anything too crazy. But, I felt the spirit so strong while listening to "I stand all amazed" by the tab choir during conf. The lyrics just stabbed me right in the heart man. I just want yall to read and ponder these words:"I marvel that he would descend from his throne divine, to rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine, that he should extend his great love unto such as I, sufficient to own, to redeem, and to justify, oh, it is wonderful that he should care for me, enough to die for me! Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me". That verse hit me like a train. The words are so powerful and are so beautifully put together. That is easily one of my favorite hymns if not my favorite. Anyways that's all.

Zone conferences

Ata marie whanau! I hope that you have all had a good week, I love and miss you all! These last 2 week were pretty good to be honest. We kept really busy so that was good. Last week and this week we have had zone conferences in the north island and in the south island. We had Palmerston North zone, Flaxmere zone, and Hastings zone conference to start the week. Then, we had a day for exchanges with the Flaxmere elders. The next day we had to drive back to Wellington from Hawkes Bay which is 4 hour drive with no stops. So we drove back and then we had a flight that evening, so we had to get packed up and ready to get on the plane. Basically we spent the whole day traveling. These last couple of days we have spent in Dunedin and Christchurch on the south island, it has been really fun. I always enjoy coming down here because I get to see areas that I never served in and I get to see some cool parts of New Zealand. South Island trip

Kia ora everybody!!! I hope you all had a great week!! These last 2 weeks were super busy but very good. We finished up our zone conferences this week. We traveled the north island and south island this whole week and the week before for zone conferences. It was great and super spiritual, but I am definitely tired of traveling haha. That was my last trip I'll do so I'm definitely grateful to be done with them. A quick update with our friend Lili. She's doing great, she's come to church every week the last 3 weeks. There is only one hold up. We had to postpone her baptism for some word of wisdom stuff. But, it isn't anything too major so she'll probably get baptized in 2 or 3 weeks. She has been a miracle in my mission. I'm a little sad that i won't be here for her baptism cuz i go home next week, but I'm grateful I got to be a part of the process. Miracles!!

Malo e lelei everybody!! This week was a pretty solid week. We kept super busy and had some success in our area. This week was transfers so we spent Monday to Thursday having meetings and planning for this next transfer. It is always a pretty stressful time, but we've made it and I won't have to do that again so I'm happy. We had a great MLC meeting on Wednesday. The spirit was super strong the whole time. It was definitely my favorite one that I have had. We had a lot of success with one of our friends that we found last week. Her name is Lili, I think I mentioned her last week. Anyways, this week we caught up with her and had a lesson. We set a date for baptism with her on the 27th of this month. She also came to church the next day and loved every minute of it. We have multiple members that are fellowshipping her. They have invited her to institute and other activities. It has been awesome to see. She is progressing so fast that I can't even keep up.
