'Ofa pe teke ma'u ha 'aho Sapate Fa'e lelei
Malo e lelei everybody! I hope that you have all had a wonderful week. I hope that each of you wished your mothers a happy mothers day. If you haven't, make sure to go do that now. I would also like to apologize for being terrible at writing emails every week, especially to my mother. It's been a busy few weeks, but they have been awesome.
We got to go to the temple again last week. So that meant packing up and driving a van 7 hours up to Hamilton with a bunch of other missionaries. It was super fun, I love a good road trip. I'm so blessed to have gone on a couple temple trips while I've been serving here. It is not to easy to get up there, and it definitely isn't cheap. Each time I go I am reminded of God's Plan of Salvation. One of the things that really stood out to me this time is that when we sacrifice things in our life, it is a similitude to the Savior's sacrifice. Obviously, we can never compare our sacrifices to His ultimate sacrifice, but sacrifices are a big part of God's plan. We needed the Savior's sacrifice to be redeemed and to return to our Heavenly Father. We also need to sacrifice things in our life. We need to sacrifice sin and bad habits for righteous living. I learned that another definition for sacrifice means "To make sacred". When we are sacrificing things in our life, we are becoming more sacred. Anyways, I loved the trip. The Hamilton Temple is such a beautiful temple and has been so important in church history here.
Other than that, not much has been happening lately. We've been getting things picked up in our area. We don't get much time to work in our area, but when we do we try to make the best of it. We've found a couple of new friends which is awesome. Hopefully we can see some progression with them. Please pray for Ringo, Kyle, and Rano. We have been trying to show videos about the Book of Mormon to people on the street lately, and it has been super successful. It has been cool teaching through videos that the church has made. Just an idea for any missionaries that are reading this. Also, I just cut my hair super short and now I look like I got deployed to the army. Sorry mom.
'Ofa pe teke ma'u ha 'aho Sapate Fa'e lelei (I hope you have a good Mother's day in Tongan). I love you all and hope that you have a good week.
