Dante and Denzel's baptism!

Morena whanau!!! I hope you all have had a good week. Life is too good out here in Porirua at the moment. The area is amazing, the work is amazing, and the miracles are even better.

This week we were able to have Dante and Denzels baptism. It was an awesome experience and I felt the spirit. The mom, who is less active went up and bore her testimony for the first time in years at their baptism. The mom’s mom (Dante and Denzels grandma) was super grateful because she hadn't seen or heard her daughter bear her testimony for years. Then, the next day at church, Dante received the aaronic priesthood. It's been awesome teaching this family because not only has it helped the kids but it has helped the mom and their relatives as well. Missionary work is one of the coolest things to be a part of. It is honestly the coolest thing seeing the change in others when you just reach out and help.

The work is moving forward. We haven't been able to meet much with our friends because they are still busy on summer holiday, but we had an awesome day at church. The family of 5 that we have been teaching and are getting baptized soon all showed up to church. Then, this Tongan family that we just found this week showed up to church. Also, one of our inactive friends named Tina from Kiribati came to church for the 1st time in a year. Also, Jonah, Dante, and Denzel all showed up to church as well. It was such an awesome day and the chapel was full which is super rare in this ward. There have been so many miracles lately and it's been awesome to see the Lord's hand in the work.

Here's a quick spiritual thought: I read a little devotional this week about binoculars and relating it to the gospel. Binoculars use 2 different lenses to make one image. In order for the image to be clear and not blurry, the 2 different lenses must be aligned together. One of the lenses can be related to our view and plan of life. The other lense can be related to God's view and plan for our life. If we want a clear image of our life, we must align our plan and view with God's plan and view of our lives. God knows what's best for us, he knows what will help us grow and change to be the people that we need to become. So all we need to do is to humble ourselves and submit ourselves to whatever God has in store for us.

Alright that's it from me yall. Just know that I love it out here right now and I don't want to be anywhere else. I don't think I've ever been as happy as I am now out here in the mission.

had the best Tongan dinner yesterday after church. Got to try kina for the first time (it's that weird spiky shell thing). It's a very popular thing here in NZ to eat. Also got to eat Lu Sipi (a Tongan dish)
