Mission tour
Malo e lelei! How is everybody? I'm doing pretty good right now. Just chillin really. We had a great week and the work is awesome.
This week we were really busy with mission tour. Elder Jaggi of the area presidency came and visited our mission. We had zoom meetings all week and and we met him in person on Thursday. So, basically all week we had meetings. I really loved the in person one, the spirit was so strong and I learned a lot. But man those zoom meetings were miserable. We couldn't hear anything and it was just hard to pay attention. It was a blessing to have a general authority come and visit the mission though.
Because of mission tour, we didn't get as much time to work our area which was a bummer. But, things are still moving forward here. Our friend Jonah is still on date for the 2nd of December and we got his mom's approval so it's looking all good. We had to push his friend Isaiahs date back a little bit because his mom wants him to have more time to prepare. Which is still good. We also found out that we could possibly teach Jonahs brother as well. So that was a cool little miracle. Honestly, this area is awesome and I want to stay for a while.
This week I was thinking a lot about the plan of salvation, more specifically the premortal life and our purpose on earth. As I was studying about it this week, it really kind of dawned on me just how special these two parts are to the plan. God gave us a plan, and he gave us a choice to follow that plan or not, and we are all here following that plan. Now, we are here trying to return to our heavenly father and to grow and learn as much as we can while we are here. It kind of dawned on me this week just how special it is to have the knowledge of these 2 things. We all have a purpose in life. There are so many people in this world and that i have met on this mission that believe we just live and die, and that's it. How sad is that. But, we don't have to live like that. We have a purpose each and every day and that purpose is to come closer to our Savior and to return to our heavenly father again. It brings me a lot of peace and joy whenever I get to teach about these things.
Anyways, that's it from me yall. I love you all and I would invite you to think and study about the plan of salvation today. Ofa ma'u pe he kainga (love one another in tongan)
