Windy wellyz
Kia ora tatou. Hope you all had a great week this week. The week here was pretty good.
The weather here was awful this week though. It feels like I haven't seen the sun the entire time I've been in Porirua. It's supposed to be spring and warming up, but it seems to be getting colder than it has been. Everyday has been windy as and super rainy. It's been pretty miserable for the work but we're toughing through it. The weather was the worst on Saturday and of course this was the day that we gave the car to the other elders. So, we walked all day in the 50 mph winds and pouring rain. After a while, we stopped at a members house and watched the All Blacks rugby team destroy Italy in the rugby world cup. Go All Blacks!!! I should have known the weather was going to be trash when the nickname for the Wellington area is windy wellyz. Please pray that the sun will come out soon in Porirua.
Anyways, other than all of that the week was awesome. We were able to put our friend Genardo Filipo on date for the 28th of October. He's a 10 year old Samoan kid. His parents are inactive, but they want to get him baptized. And they want to start coming back to church now too, so that's pretty cool. We're also hoping to get some of our other friends on date for baptism. Hopefully we can see some miracles happen.
Nothing really interesting happened this week. It's just depressing seeing everybody else watch conference when we have to wait a week to see it. Patience is indeed a virtue. Please don't send me any spoilers or anything, I'm trying to not know anything before I watch it.
Alright, well I love you all and hope the best for you all. Just know I'm happy out here and loving the mission💙.

one of our Kiribati🇰🇮 friends gave us a candy that's only made there. Its basically coconut cooked in caramel and rolled up in a ball. It was actually delicious. I can't remember the word for it and I wouldn't even bother trying to pronounce it.
