Kia ora yall. Hope you're doing good. Gonna be short today.  The work is going alright. We still have been walking because the sisters hog the car. So, we aren't able to get as much done. But, we are making due. Our friend Ashudosh sadly dropped us this week. He just sent a text out of nowhere saying that he didn't want to meet with us anymore. That was a bummer. Hopefully the work can start kicking up here soon. On a positive note, this week me and my companion were able to go back to Levin to see John's baptism. I don't know if you guys remember him but he was the guy from Colombia me and Elder Ta'ala were teaching in Levin. That was so cool to see. He got married and baptized on the same day. We usually don't do that, but he requested that so we of course couldn't turn it down. He was just so eager to be baptized. I probably haven't had a bigger smile on my face in my whole life than that night. He's going to be an awesome member. Apparently h...

Where on earth did he go?

Kia ora whanau! How is everybody? I hope yall are doing good! Life has been just fine recently. I've been loving the mission. This area has been a lot of fun. Today, I got to see lil nephew Coop crawl. That was mindboggling to me. He needs to stop growing so much, I feel like I'm missing out on his whole childhood. Anyways, let's get into it. Not much happened this week. Just a lot of work and a lot of rain. New Zealand rains so much. It honestly sucks. But there is a reason this place is so green and beautiful. Also, not to flex but I can now sing head shoulders knees and toes in Tongan. I spent a whole member meal with the Tuatongas going through it with them. A little update on the work. The work is going good. I'm going to teach my companion how to ride a bike which is cool. I'm excited. We've also been starting to see some more miracles. Finally got this area up and running. We put our friend Ashudosh on date for June 10th. He was the guy I talked about las...

Kia ora yall!! I hope you are all doing good. Life has been great here. I've been loving the mission recently. Me and Elder Clements are super close and we've been having a great time. The other elders are hilarious as well. Alrighty, well the work has been alright. We have had a very slow first couple of weeks. We've been working hard to clean up the area book from the missionaries before. They did little to no work in this area so we are trying to pick up the trust from the members and the teaching pool as well. But we did have a cool miracle this week. Honestly the craziest thing that has ever happened on my mission. So, here's to a quick storytime. On Saturday, me and my comp were calling some people inviting them to church. An Indian guy answered, and he said he would come to church. So we were looking forward to seeing him there. Now, come sacrament on Sunday we don't see any of the friends we invited at church. But, in the middle of the meeting an Indian guy ...

Malo! ÅŠa mai oe?(how are you). Yes I'm getting to learn some Samoan because one of the elders I live with is from Samoa and Hutt valley has heaps of Samoans so I need to learn haha. Anyways, this is going to be a short one because I don't have much time and I've been busy all day, but I'm doing good. A little cool news is that me and my companion are getting a car, which is literally a saving grace. We are going to share it with the sisters. They'll get it for a week and then we'll get it. I cannot be more grateful. My feet are so done with walking everywhere. So that's super good. Other than that there isn't much news in the work. Just a bunch of lessons falling through. We don't really have anybody to teach rn that is progressing at all. But, we'll get there!  Today we got to play some touch rugby which was super fun. So that was really good. One thing that is good about this area and zone is that everybody likes to play sports, which is what I...

I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go

Hey yall, how is everybody doing? Hoping all is well. This week was a tough week in the new area not going to lie. But we've made it through and it's only up from here. Anyways, my new area is the Avalon ward here in Lower Hutt. We have a small district which is weird, it's just us, the ZLs, and sisters. We live with the ZLs which is fun. When we first got to the flat, it was absolutely disgusting. There was some milk in the fridge that had been expired for a couple months. So, the first day we spent just cleaning up everything. We are still cleaning some of the flat. But it looks much better than it did at the start. I don't understand how people could have lived in this flat before hand haha. But anyways that wasn't very fun. I'll give a quick run down on the work in this area. We don't have a car, which is alright because I've been in a bike area before and it was one of my favorite areas. But, my comp doesn't know how to ride a bike. And he doesn...
