Oops somebody let my mix tape play

Well good morning yall! I hope everything is alright and you are all doing good. There's kinda a lot to talk about so I'll try to make it quick.

First of all, we have good news. We put our friend Jhon on date for baptism. He will be baptized on April 29th so we're super excited for that. Keep him in your prayers pls. Also, we have to probably push back Gila because we still need to work with him on some things. Also keep Gila in your prayers as well. Other than that the work is going all good.

Alright, now for the big news. It's a bit of a story so I'll just tell it to yall how it went down. It all started yesterday (P day) at 7:30 in the morning. I was exercising doing some sprints and push ups and all that jazz out in the front yard of our flat, trying to cut off some of the mission fat. Then, I hear an alarm going off at like 7:45. I didn't know where it was coming from, I thought it was a house by us. But then I hear screaming so I run into the house and the house is just filled with black smoke. I was so confused and in shock. For some reason the first thing I did was throw my water bottle in the house, not sure what I was doing. I run into the living room area, at this point its really hard to breathe and you can only see smoke. I look into the kitchen from the living room and I can see a 5 foot tall flame coming from the stove. It's starting to run up the wall as well. At this point I'm just freaking out and so was my comp. I knew it was a grease fire so I had no idea what to do. I was scrambling to find a fire extinguisher because I know water would just make it worse. Me and my companion start slamming on our neighbors doors asking for any help or a fire extinguisher. Of course nobody had one. I start to call 111 which is 911 here in NZ. After that, my comp was finally able to somehow put the fire out by throwing a wet towel on it. We had the fire dept at our house for most of the day yesterday. The fire got into the roof and was still going so they had to put that out. The fire dept captain told us that if the fire had been put out a minute later then the whole house would have burnt down because it almost got into the attic and at that point they wouldn't have been able to do much, so that's a cool little miracle. We spent all day yesterday moving into the other elders flat to live with them for a couple months. I guess I should tell you guys how it happened. My comp woke up that morning craving some breakfast crispy chicken. So, that's what he was cooking. He finished cooking it all, and when he went to turn off the stove he turned the heat knob too far so that it was on high heat instead of off. So, that is how it all happened. Alright now, kids don't mess with fire and don't make crispy chicken for breakfast. Weird little fun fact, me and my comp had black boogers for the rest of the day because of all the smoke. Anyways, we are all good now, just a little stressed lol.

Anyways, that is pretty much it. The week was good other than that. We had exchanges and I went with Elder Moli again. That guy is a stud, so that was fun.

Spiritual thought for the week: I want to talk about Elder Nattress's talk from General Conference. Elder Nattress came and visited our mission a couple months ago and it was really awesome, so I had to listen to his talk early. Ya, I still haven't seen General Conference, still waiting for this weekend. Anyways, his talk was awesome, yall should go give it a listen. I just want to leave yall with a question that he asked us when he came and talked to us. The question is "who is Jesus Christ to you?". Alright just ponder about that pls.

Anyways I love yall and i hope you all have a good week. Let me just say I'm so happy that March Madness is over. I was really depressed hearing about all the games. But now I'm good now that it's over. Alright have a grand week.
